The Feldenkrais Method® is a movement practice that helps people connect deeper to themselves and improve their physical well-being. It uses simple and gentle movements to create more awareness around embodied patterns, which empowers a person's entire sense of self.

I am certified by the Feldenkrais Guild of North America to teach Awareness Through Movement (ATM). This is offered in a group setting, in which I guide students through simple, gentle, and functional movement patterns. These small movement ideas help us discover more easeful and powerful ways to embody oneself. ATM classes relieve tension and pain, reduce stress and anxiety, and help return one back to a more centered state of being.

I am on my 3rd of 4 years towards certification in Functional Integration (FI). This is a one-on-one lesson that is similar to ATM, but utilizes more hands-on touch from me as a practitioner. These private lessons are often profound and healing, as I get to offer 20+ years of embodied practice and listening presence to the specific needs of my clients.

As a Feldenkrais practitioner, I specialize in working with:

DANCE: performers who want to improve in flexibility, balance, ease, and expressivity. There are many myths about how one should dance or shape their body. As a dancer my entire life, I am passionate about helping to dispel these disillusions and to help dancers disocver the potential that they’ve always had.

VOICE: singers, actors, and performers who want to get deeper into the embodiment of vocalization as an extension of themselves. We explore the breathing system, alignment in vocalization, emotional states as a result of voice, and tension patterns thoughout the body (pertinently: the jaw, tongue, neck, back, belly, ribs, and pelvis).

STRESS & ANXIETY: people who want concrete ways to feel less stress and anxiety in their daily life. Students often don’t realize how much of their emotional states are being shaped by bracing patterns in their body.
